I have fond memories of the wonderful summers on Long Lake. BP was usually right in the middle of them. I'm glad we had such good neighbors up there. The Johnsons, Norbergs, Ecklunds, the other Johnsons all made a wonderful community to grow and thrive. The unique thing was we were all from the Rockford area, 5-6 hours from Rockford. BP amazed me with his diving with nothing more than a snorkel and facemask. He could stay under the water longer than I ever thought possible. He'd snatch clams off the lake bottom and bring them up. At 7 years old, that was the neatest circus act I had ever seen. He would also race Steve Johnson swimming across Long Lake. Steve was an excellent wrestler and did it to stretch his endurance. BP was right there with him. Zola in the rowboat following them both, making sure nobody drowned. Through it all, BP had his boyish grin. May you continue to be having all the wonderful times in the next chapter of your journey. God bless you BP.

BP - so many memories! At the lake with your parents...I was 11, you were 15 and learning to drive. I was that annoying little cousin who always wanted to tag along. You were too busy for the likes of me - living life fast and large - always I remember you with cars - fast cars -fast motorcycles -big trucks of it moved it was for you! I will miss you forever - if life is but a dream, then you have awakened. Much love-

Byron was like a brother to me I have known him since I was 16. We worked at 5 different jobs together. Went boating on Rock River and rode in a lot of Bike Events besides taking long bike rides on a Sunday. For 3 years in a row he stayed with me for months in Florida. Last year he said he couldn't come, I tried to get him to come by telling him we would pay for everything but he said he did not want to come under those terms. He was a great guy, he loved his family and friends a whole lot. Byron was a simple man he as set in his ways. I am so glad I was able to come up a couple of weeks ago to say goodbye. He will be greatly missed and I am very sad knowing my Big Dummy won't be here any more. Most of his old friends called him Pops but he was my Big Dummy. He knew I loved him very much and that name didn't bother him. REST IN PEACE, BYRON. Love you, man.

I am so sad to hear of the lose of my Big Buddy. He was a great friend all these years. He would be willing to do whatever was in his power to help anyone out. He was a wonderful friend. Loved his family dearly and would be anxiously waiting to go to the cabin up north for the week with the family for many years. During his last years of his life he would go on some awesome trips on his Harley. He had hoped one day he could go on a long trip with his Brother Bill, but they could never seem to get the time together. But now I am sure Byron will be riding along beside Bill for years to come now. He will always be with me in my heart and especially when Roger and I go to the Drag Races. We went to quite a few with him through the years. REST IN PARADISE, BYRON. I will always remember my Buddy.
