Obituary

Barbara J. Moore, 89, of Rockford, passed away on January 10, 2018 surrounded by her family at Wesley Willows. She was born on July 23, 1928 in Rockford, the daughter of Eugene S. and Gladys (Rhinehart) Huffman. Barbara graduated from East High School in 1946 and attended Cornell College. She married Clifford O. Moore on October 16, 1948. Barbara was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where she served as deacon, elder and teacher. She was a former member of Sandy Hollow Women's Golf Association. She and Cliff enjoyed experiencing the world on their bicycles which they did in the United States and other countries.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff; son David (Cathy); daughter, Jane (Jim) Nolting; grandsons, Michael, Stephen, and Nicholas; brother, Bob (Barbara); and nephew, Brooks Huffman. Predeceased by parents.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N Bell School Rd, Rockford, 61107 with Pastor Gretchen Hammeke officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Willows, 4141 N Rockton, Rockford, IL 61103.
