Robert "Bobby" Michael Figinsky Jr., age 13, of Roscoe, passed away Sunday, October 15th after being struck by a car. He was born March 1st, 2004 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Bobby was an 8th grade student at Roscoe Middle School. Bobby was a funny, loving, friendly, amazing boy who loved all things creative. He was a Lego master. He loved creating whatever came to mind and was always working on something new. He loved art, especially drawing the character he designed for himself. He also loved animals, most notably, his cat Simon. Bobby really loved being outside. He enjoyed riding his bike, skateboarding, camping, fishing and just exploring wherever he was. Bobby was an incredible son and big brother. He always came up with imaginative games and made videos to entertain himself and his younger brother. He brought so much joy and light to our lives. Our family will never be the same without him.
Bobby is survived by his parents, Robert and Jenessa (Eads) Figinsky; his brother William "Billy" Figinsky, his great-grandmother, Anita Eads; grandparents, Arthur Figinsky, Jeannie Eads and Jeanette Eads; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends. Bobby was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Christa Figinsky; and his maternal grandfather, Dennis Eads.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 2nd Ave., Rockford. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Fred C. Olson Chapel. Arrangements by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd.

    Bobby was a student in my fourth grade math class. He loved Batman and so did I, and he would always do Batman impressions for me. He was a wonderful child and I will miss him so much! I am thinking and praying for the Figinsky family.
