John Bollenbach, 57, of Belvidere, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born October 2, 1959, in Denver, CO; the son of Francis R. and Doris A. (Ibsen) Bollenbach.
John graduated from East High School in Rockford, IL, where he was a member of the debate team. As a youth he was in Boy Scouts and served on the Northwoods Scout Staff in 1975. John started his career in food services at the Wigwam in Winnebago, IL and managed various restaurants across the country. He also owned and operated the Crystal Limousine Service in Rockford, Il. After managing restaurants in Colorado for several years he returned to Illinois and lived in Belvidere until his death.
He is survived by his mother, Doris; siblings, Jim Bollenbach, Beth (Dale) Welling and Bruce (Cheryl) Bollenbach; and friend, Kimberly Larson. Predeceased by his father.

    We are very sad to hear about John . We were good friends in our early adult years and lost touch but we will always remember him as being very smart, having a great sense of humor, and most of all having a kind heart. Our condolences to his family.
