Julie was a lovely woman who clearly loved the Lord. She had a beautiful smile and was always willing to stop to talk when our paths crossed. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to her family. May God's love and peace comfort all of you during this difficult time.

I don't even know where to begin...we worked at Swedes and RASC together. She was always the stability in a sometimes stressful OR. She was knowledgeable and could anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Even more important she knew the patient always came first. I will miss praying, walking and talking with her. Julie gave me several wonderful books of encouragement...I cherish them. To Danny, Stacy and Paul I'm sorry. I also know that she's now happy, whole, and walking and talking with her God and Savior. It doesn't get any better than this! Peace be with you and your family. It has been a blessing and honor to call Julie my friend! Love ~ Jan Stringer

God looked around his garden And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough. And the hills are hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered “ Please be thine “. It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone For part of us went with you That day that God called you home. Danny, Stacey and Paul, I am so sorry for your loss. It was an Honor and Pleasure to have known Julie, even though it was for a short time. She made quite quite an impact on me.

  19. Jennifer Keckler RN

I worked with Julie at OSF. She was such a dear, sweet and generous soul. She was a hard worker. She was a devout Christian with a strong faith. She was always positive and tried to help others better their own lives. She never talked about her illness or complained. She was too young to die. But no matter what the age, death is an enemy. God never intended for us to die for he put 'eternity into our hearts'. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) I look forward to the time when we can welcome Julie back in the resurrection, in perfect mind and health, to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:25) And then the "last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing". (1 Corinthians 15:26) what a comfort to know that God is yearning to call his faithful ones back to life. (Job 14:13-15) I look forward to that time. I am so sorry for your loss.
