Billy G. Campbell, 69, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in his home. He was born November 11, 1947, in TN; the son of William and Mary L. (Stout) Campbell. He married Betty A. Ingram on May 16, 1975; she predeceased him June 1, 2014. Billy served in the United States Army, during Vietnam. He was employed with Labors Union # 32. Billy enjoyed fishing, gambling, and most of all his family.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Jackie) Jessie and James (Jennifer) Jessie; daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Fishe all of Rockford, 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. He is predeceased by 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Care of America for the wonderful care they gave Billy.
Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St. Rockford with Pastor Dave Spooner officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family.
