Obituary

Pamela Ann Metcalf, 57, of Kirkland, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 in her home. She was born to Douglas Franklin and Margaret Ann (Gore) Best on July 10, 1959 in Denver, CO. On October 25, 1980, she married Howard Metcalf in Wheaton, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; children, Alexandra (Nate) Guzman of IL and South Korea, Benjamin Metcalf of Stillman Valley, IL, and Howard Clayton "Clay" Metcalf of Kirkland, IL; grandchildren, Madalyn and Brooklyn Guzman; step-grandson, Ryli Guzman; parents, Doug and Margaret Best of Conover, WI; siblings, Douglas (Maureen) Best, Jr. of MA and Chris (Al) LaRose of Naperville, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother, Paul Allen Best, in 1985 and her grandparents.
There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017, with a short service at 7:00pm, to be held at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Kirkland Chapel, 309 South Fifth St., Kirkland, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to KishHealth System Hospice, 2727 Sycamore Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115 or The KishHealth System Cancer Center, 10 Health Services Dr, DeKalb, IL 60115.
