Mario "Hollywood" Rodriguez, 68, died on Sunday, February 26, 2017, peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends in Rochelle, IL. He was born May 30, 1948 in San Antonio, TX., son of Jesus & Dominga Rodriguez. He was self-employed as a mechanic. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family & cooking. Mario will truly be missed by so many.

He is survived by his children Mario Rodriquez (Angie), Diana Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Andres Rodriguez (Raquel), Reyna Rodriguez, and Imelda Rodriguez (Antonio); his siblings Jesse Rodriguez (Chayo), Christina Lara, Ramona Pizano (Alfredo), Tomas Rodriguez, Enrique Rodriguez, Linda Martinez (David), Felix Rodriguez, and Teresa Guadalupe Mascote, brother in law (Antonio Ruiz); along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews

Preceded in death by his true love, Susan Hale, his parents Jesus & Dominga Rodriguez, his brothers Reyes Roberto Rodriguez, Juan Jose Rodriguez, George Rodriguez, and his sister Mary Ruiz.

A visitation will be held from 5-9 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL.

The burial will be held at 12 PM Sunday, March 5th, 2017 at Fairview Park Cemetery, 1600 S. 1st, DeKalb, IL. with a luncheon to follow at the VFW, 318 4th Ave., Rochelle, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Olson Funeral Home to go towards the services for Mario.
