Donna J. Collins, 88, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born Dec. 7, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of Harold and Lena (Walker) Listenberger. She retired from Woodward Governor in 1991.
Survived by her children, Gary (Nemie) Johnson, Marsha (Dennis) Norberg, Denise Maggio, and Lynette (Mike Jones) Cassaro; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and best friend since age 13, Joan (Joe) Brinkley. Predeceased by her brother, Harold (Jane) Listenberger. Special thanks to Dr. Sweeney and Jackie May of RNA; Dr. Dorsey and Stephanie Crawford; Dr. Evangelista from OSF; the staff of VNA Hospice; and "her girls": the Cardinal Wing nursing staff at River Bluff for the wonderful care they gave Donna.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., Rockford with Pastor Kirby Miracle officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the River Bluff Auxiliary, 4401 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103.
