Peter was a kind and generous man, always willing to share his wisdom and experience with his colleagues. His commitment to service to his profession, both at the local and national level, was incredible and he was a role model for several generations of endodontists. For many years, he served as an "elder statesman" for endodontists in Illinois and was our first choice to administer the oath of office each year to incoming officers of the Illinois Association of Endodontists and Edgar D Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family. Brad Johnson UIC Department of Endodontics

To the Paesani family, I am sorry for your loss. I first met Dr. Peter Paesani when I was almost sixteen years old. I was his first dental assistant in 1957 when he had his dental practice with Dr. hogan. He was a good teacher as I learned from him how to become a conscientious dental assistant with empathy for his patients. Maybe this was a foreshadowing of his gift to teach. He was a kind, shy and humble man. He use to go to the Poor Clares monastery to take care of the nuns dental needs. I don't think many people knew this about him. He came to pay his respects when my mother died in 1998. He was a special person and I will always remember him.
