Shirley Irene Vincent Kamm, 85, of Sycamore, IL died peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Bethany Rehab Center in DeKalb, IL. She was born on December 9, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Versa (Strickland) Vincent Sr. Shirley graduated from Proviso Township High School, class of 1950. She married Robert A. Kamm on April 7, 1956 in Hillside Church. He preceded her in death in 2012. Shirley was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: her children, Deborah Louise Trotter of Rantoul and Kenneth Alan Kamm of Sycamore; grandchildren, Erin Joy and her partner, Jesse Trujillo, Joshua Robert and Eric Alan Trotter and his fiancé, Nichole Marie McBride; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Aurora Trujillo Trotter and Skylar Jacob Alan McBride; 3 siblings, Henry A. Vincent, Jr. of Sycamore, IL, Richard E. Vincent and Sharon L. Vincent of Pingree Grove, IL; 3 sisters-in-law, June Kamm of Sycamore, IL, Stella (Roger) Tigges of Dubuque, Iowa, and Joyce (Vincent) Kelly of Denver, CO ; several nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law; her husband, Robert; her infant son in 1960; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and a dear friend June I. Farrington; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2016 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1145 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL with Reverend Gary B. Ryden officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. There will be a memorial visitation on Thursday, January 5 from 5 -8 p.m. at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk Street, Sycamore, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
