Labelle was the maid of honor at my parents' wedding. They were best of friends. My mom died when she was just 47. We would stop in to see Labelle at JCP just to get a hug from someone who knew our mom.

I worked with LaBelle at JCPenney in the mid-80's. She was just one of the sweetest, most kind women I have ever met. Always smiling. Always happy. Always encouraging. I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure LaBelle has a special place in Heaven.

To the LaBelle Carlson family: We are so sorry for your loss. I worked with LaBelle in the early 80's at JCP. We have lost an angel on earth and heaven has gained one...the photo in her obit represents the memory I will always have of her....she ALWAYS had a SMILE and a word of wisdom and encouragement for "us kids" that worked with her. May God be with you all at this difficult time and your memories of LaBelle give you comfort.
