Helen L. "Schultzie" Schultz, 89, of Rockford, passed away on December 13, 2018. She was born on January 27, 1929 in Rockford, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Wahlstrom) Dickey. Helen graduated from East High School. She married Robert G. Schultz in 1952. He predeceased her in March of 1996. Helen was a Clerk in the Winnebago County Circuit Clerk's Office for 25 years. She was an avid swimmer, including Senior Olympics and life guard. She loved playing cards. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 62 years.
Survived by her children, Donna L. (Duane) Zweep and Larry R. (Janet) Schultz; grandchildren, Anna (Mike) Ghidina, Lauren (Rich) Hernandez, Vanessa (Chris) Thompson, and Clint (Hanna) Schultz; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Robert; and brothers, Robert, Harry, and Carl Dickey. A special thank you to the staff of Alpine Fireside for their kindness and care.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, IL 61111 with Pastor Brent Dahlseng officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Rockford Rescue Mission, P. O. Box 1958, Rockford, IL 61110-0458.
