Sharon L. Furgason, 81, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Born on January 19, 1937, in Monroe, MI, the daughter of Arlon and Wahneita (Sturdevant) Wright. She married William L. Furgason on April 7, 1956, in Manchester, MI. He predeceased her on March 15, 1991. Sharon enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survived by her children, Cheryl (Bryan) Bender, Elaine (Renee Moore) Furgason, Deborah (Sam) Van Dyke, and Robert (Karen) Furgason; grandchildren, Dustin, Andrew, Kayla, Marc, Kristina, Samantha, Kylee, Brian, William, Kenneth, Conrad, Tim, Justin; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Carol) Wright; sisters-in-law, Margie Hollins and Anne Furgason; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her parents; and son Ronald Furgason.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 in Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
