Print Obituary & Condolences

Constance Marie (Baney) Pfaff, 77, of Loves Park, went to be with Our Lord in heaven on Friday, August 17, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends whose hearts and lives she has touched. Born on August 26, 1940, in Rockford, the daughter of Arnold (Buck) Baney and Dorothy A. (Williams) Miller and her dear step-father Vance "Poppy" Dryden. She attended Stillman Valley and Harlem Schools and earned a degree from Rockford Business College. Connie worked as a waitress, in an office and a nursing home. She married her one true love, Ronald A. Pfaff in March 1964. Connie soon discovered her passion and calling in life; caring for her home, family, and pets. She was exceptionally nurturing, devoted, patient, kindhearted, giving and always put others needs before hers.
Her memory is carried on by her daughters, Pamela (Joshua) Pinkston, and Tammy Capes; precious grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Randy Feldt Jr., Blain Pinkston, William "Wayne" (Sharon) Mathes, Sheena Mathes, Donald "Jayme" Jacobs Jr., Nevan (Rebecca) Jacobs, Brett Jacobs, Tabatha Harris and Avin Capes; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Addison, Giana, Charity, Isabella, Selena, Ariel, Russell Jr., Colton and Raylinn; her very loved brother, Ron Baney; adored sister, Susie Murphy; half-sisters, Linda and Patty; and several much loved nieces and nephews.
Connie enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was an excellent seamstress, who made curtains and clothing for her family. She crocheted beautiful afghans and made quilts with her husband who also taught her to cook which they enjoyed doing together. Connie loved reading her bible, listening to Christian T.V. programs and music, and sharing her favorite teachings and songs with family. We will forever be grateful to God for blessing us with her beautiful and pure soul. She will be deeply missed by many and her old fashioned values will live on forever within us.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
