Obituary

Ronald "Ron" R. Braun, 68, of Poplar Grove, passed away on July 31, 2018. He was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on December 24, 1949, the son of Harry and Lupe (Savedra) Braun. Ron married Les Iversen on September 9, 1998 in McHenry County. He served in Vietnam in the United States Army. Ron was a member of TLC in Harvard. He was self-employed as a roofer. He lived his life on his terms, and no one else's. Have a beer and think about it.
Ron is survived by his wife, Les; children, Marc (Brenda) Braun, Kelly (Phil) Jacobs, Brittany (fiance' Dan Davidson), and Ian Braun; grandchildren, Dustin, Emily, Trey, Edward, Mason and Kinsley; great-grandchild, Aubrey; sisters, Jean, Joanne, and Tracy; brothers, Charles, John, Rick, and Steve. Predeceased by his parents; first wife, Cindy in 1990; siblings, Harry Jr., Mike, Laura, and Terri.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the Lions Park, 249 E North St., Capron, IL. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Brenda Braun, 409 West Main St., Capron,IL 61012. Olson Funeral & Cremation Services assisted in the arrangement.
