Charlotte was one of the first people to befriend me and welcome me when I first started attending Heartland Church. As time went on, I became very fond of her and looked forward to sitting with her at the church service every Saturday. She was a truly wonderful person with a warm personality and beautiful smile. I adored her and will greatly miss her. My sympathy and condolences to her lovely family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, including me.

Ty, Kristin & Erin: I so very much wish that I could be there today for you and for all the sistersâ€"Diane, Colleen, Evie, Shirley and my mom Bev. My heart and prayers go out to you all. I also want to make this official: Whenever Charlotte saw me, the first question she would ask me, in front of all of her sisters, was "Who's your favorite Aunt, Kandi?" And I was trained to shout out the right answer: "YOU, of course, Charlotte." Then we would both burst into giggles. I love each of the aunts to pieces in their own way, but Charlotte was the FUN Aunt, and I'll miss her loads and loads. Love you three kids loads too. I'm sending you hugs.

I'm so sorry to hear of Char's passing. I didn't know her well but the few times we spoke were filled with laughter and a sense of humor I've not encountered since. It was a gift she had from on High that made her the person she was. Her laugh was infectious. Her kindness and humor drew people to her where she excelled in showing God's awesome sense of humor to those around her. Praying for you as you navigate through missing her to the utter most. I only have one sister and the thought of losing her is inconceivable. I'm pretty sure she's in Heaven hugging all who've gone before her and making EVERY SINGLE PERSON LAUGH! Heaven is a better place because of her! So comforting to know you'll (we) will see her again. Love and prayers and hugs to you.

As classmates, I remember Charlotte as such a beautiful person, always friendly, with a great personality. I did not see her again after graduation from East High, so it came as a surprise to see an account of her passing. So, from down here in South Florida, to her family and friends, as you grieve, please know that my prayers are with you, and May GOD Bless each and every one of you.

  10. The Caras family,

Erin, We wish you and your family hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain. Sending our thoughts and prayers your way. George, Danni, Chris, Joe, and Raegan

  11. Ron Manno

My prayers to your whole family. I'm going to try to attend the services but at 78 years of age I have to listen to my body and if it tells me I can go out or not. Gosh I hate that. Charlotte was a good friend and second wife in the old neighbor hood. It was always nice to have her in my home to visit me and Shirley. The bad side of the visit is that it was normally two to one on most topics. Having her and Shirley coming at me was a no win situation for me, but it was fun. Knowing your Mom was a treat and one I will never forget. I always enjoyed having her around. The time Shirley and Char spent together was important to Shirley and now they are both with the Lord. Once again they can have those long afternoon lunches. I will pray for the Pratt family and that you find peace. Your Mom is with the Lord and is at peace now. Ron Manno

I am so sorry you lost such a wonderful woman. I am heartbroken! I treasure the memories of hours sitting at Shirley's table drinking coffee and laughing. Char was the life of the party, but such a kind heart. I still laugh when I think of how she loved to shock Shirley! She went through a lot but still kept caring for others. I will miss the possibility of seeing her and talking about the good old days. The world will be a little less fun without her. I pray for healing for all of you - I am happy you had her as family. Love you all.
