Patricia R. Peterson, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Amberwood Care Center. Born on August 28, 1929, in Rockford, the daughter of William and Mildred (Johnson) Weir. She graduated from East High School, Class of 1947. Patricia married Frederick "Pete" Peterson on October 5, 1954 in Freeport. He predeceased her on November 15, 1991. She worked as a pharmacy technician for many years at Union Hall, Village Pharmacy, Logli's Pharmacy, and Schnuck's Pharmacy on East State.

Survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Richard) Steinberg; half-sister, Priscilla; half-brother, William Weir, Jr.; and nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her parents; son, Scott F. Peterson; aunt, Florence Andre; uncle, George Weir; and cousin, Lorin Andre.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, with Reverend Dean Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.
