Condolences & Shared Memories (7)

  1. Ray and Cathy Kalis

When we moved to Rockford in 91 we didn't know anyone. Vi lived across the street and welcomed our young family with her now famous lemon bars. She shared information on the area, watched our young children grow and I'm sure her and Jim had quite a few laughs from their antics. Our family has many good memories, our prayers to the family.

  2. Elaine Hollis "cousin"

She was my godmother and I remember putting the lucky penny in her shoe on her wedding. She never forgot a comment I made after we were together " a good time was had by all" she would always say that when we said good-bye.

  3. Keith Wilke

Just watched the Memorial Video - so glad you included a photo with your Mom and some playing cards! She did know her way around a game of whist! I will make sure to share the video with my Mom. Hugs and Prayers at this sad time for our family... Cousin Keith

  4. Carol Ayars

I will always remember her smile and great attitude no matter what life threw at her. I was blessed and privileged to spend 5 years of my life with her while I was staff at Peterson Meadows. From taking her to weekly hair appointments to encouraging her to keep up with her daily NuStep exercises to just talking and spending time to together, we became friends. She was one I missed dearly when I left PM and when I would visit, she would cry as soon as she saw me. I still have the moose spreader she gave me and I think of her every time I see it. She was a remarkable lady that I am proud to call a friend.
